PICS Diversity Village is a 3-storey, 125 bed, residential care facility that will have the ability to provide culturally sensitive long-term complex care to seniors with a South Asian background in a sustained and purposeful manner. The need for a multicultural Senior Care Facility has been acutely felt in our community for a long time. Surrey is a very culturally diverse city and many seniors face language barriers in current care homes and hospitals. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and we all share the passion to help our seniors live healthier and happier lives. During the summer of 2021, our team planned a car wash to help PICS raise the funds needed for this project. Despite the ongoing heatwave, our team came together to wash over 200 cars and raise $3500 for the PICS Guru Nanak Diversity Village.
